Hi Everyone,
My name is Derek. I have been living with epilepsy since the age of 16. I was diagnosed in 1988 after having a grand mal seizure in class during my freshman year of high school. I had my first brain surgery in 1989 and have had spells where I was seizure free for a while, but I started having more serious seizures in 2021 after a massive car accident. I’ve had multiple different types of seizures and want to educate those who may be starting their journey or just have questions.
